ABAD Expresses Full Support to Imran Khan’s National Housing Policy

In a ceremony organized by Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) on Wednesday, the association has expressed full support to Imran Khan for his mission of building 5 million low-cost affordable houses.

Imran Khan announced his party’s National Housing Policy at the session which was attended by the Chairman of AKD Group Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, Chairman ABAD Arif Jeewa, Vice Chairman Sohail Warind, Chairman Southern Region Altaf Tai, Arif Habib and other leading businessmen and political leaders. d

Imran Khan also announced that three to four lacs plots will be provided to poor families and zakat will be spent on social housing scheme. He said that One Window Operation will prevent bureaucrats from causing hindrances in the real estate sector in the country. He believes that the construction of 5 million houses will boost real estate industry and will also benefit several other industries hence, thousands of jobs will be created in the process.

Imran Khan added: “Construction sector is guarantee of bringing in economic revolution in the country. First of all we will undertake work of infrastructure including provision of water, electricity and gas as the target of construction of five million low cost house is a big challenge but we will aggressively pursue this target as we want to provide jobs to thousands of unemployed youths of the county.”

ABAD Chairman Arif Yousuf Jeewa said that ABAD is working to build low cost housing schemes across the country which will help us in fulfilling the shortage of 12 million housing units. He said that he hopes this promise is not just a political move but Imran Khan is actually willing to work to turn this into a reality.
