With Pakistan Super League (PSL) just around the corner, the excitement of people in Pakistan and all those countries waiting for it patiently is unmatchable. People cannot stop talking about the amazing matches that are set to be played in the third edition of PSL. What’s more exciting is that this year more big names are going to play bringing a brilliant amount of energy and excitement along. This year the final is going to be played in Karachi, which itself is a reason for celebration. Where everyone is supporting their favorite team in one way or another, the famous business magnate, Aqeel Karim Dedhi too took the opportunity to support his team and become its sponsor. Being a Karachite, AKD will sponsor ‘Karachi Kings’ and support them in every way possible. Mr Dedhi has always been a supporter of sports and other other recreational activities. He loves sports specifically cricket. Right from the beginning he is fond of Cricket and golf. During his childhood, he would often go out and play cricket with his friends all day. And it is his fondness for this game which has led him sponsor the team of his city. Not only this, AKD group has always played the role of an ambassador in activities that bring people together. Aqeel Karim Dedhi believes in peace and harmony and it is these events that bring harmony in the society. He thinks that for a country like Pakistan who is constantly clouded with depressive news, events like Pakistan Super League are very important. Karachi Kings is all set to take on the tournament this year. The super star player ‘boom boom’ Shahid Afridi has joined the bandwagon and is very excited himself to lead the boys. Mickey Arthur, the former South African cricketer, is going to coach the kings. The team is all geared up to play the best they can and they are very much enthusiastic to hold the cup at the end of the tournament. Karachi Kings performed spectacular last year but could not make it to the finals, this year with the all-fit team the team is all set to outperform the rest. Ravi Bhopara, Imad Waseem, Mohammad Amir, Babar Azam, Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Shakib ul Hasan are determined to make their fans happy this year by making sure Karachi Kings actually prove to be the kings. Mitchell Johnson who played for Karachi Kings in the last two seasons of the PSL, pulled out of the tournament a month back and is replaced by the right handed English batsman, Tymal Mills. The logo of Karachi King’s t shirt is lion and this year with the with the great combination of players combined with the support of the people of this overwhelming city of lights, we are all hopeful and somewhat sure these boys will do us proud and bring the cup home (or city?). This year, ‘Dhan dhana hoga re!’
