The Help International Welfare Trust (HIWT) collaborated with the Memon Professional Forum (MPF) and organized Thalassaemia Awareness event at Rangoonwala Hall. Where chief guest, Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and speakers urged PM Imran Khan and provincial government to declare 2019 as a Thalassaemia Awareness Campaign Year in order to make Pakistan a Thalassaemia free country.
However, chief guest Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and A Raheem Janoo ask the contribution of all stakeholders to stand up and fight against this deadly disease and wipe it out from Pakistan. They have also advised mothers to play an important role to create awareness about Thalassaemia. Because the can guide their children and other family members about the sensitivity of this issue.
In the presence of a number of child patients, volunteers and their parents, members like Shoaib Ismail, Hanif Ismail, Rafiq Ragoonwala and Anis Majeed also highlighted the severity of this disease.
Speakers demanded business community to come forward and take initiatives speaking at the seminar, he urged the business community to come forward and take initiatives against this complex disease and make Pakistan free from Thalassemia. Chief guest Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and other speakers demanded mass awareness campaigns on all life-threatening disease so that by controlling these disease we can save the precious human life. According to them, lack of education and illiteracy is the main reason due to which people are unaware of the brutality of these life-threatening diseases. Majority of the population in Pakistan lack treatment facilities which results in the deaths number of people especially children.
However, Aqeel Karim Dhedhi always supports such social activities and make sure his contribution to the betterment of Pakistan. He has always been organizing several fundraising events and participate in social and welfare activities.
