In recent years, Pakistan has faced a lot of challenges and the country is trying to recover from prevailing tests and trials. Just when Pakistan’s economy was on the verge of depreciation, a ray of hope emerged for both the country’s investors and the general public. The development in question is China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which made way for billions worth of foreign investment, or $62 billion to be more accurate.
This project of regional connectivity does not only benefit Pakistan and China but neighbouring countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, India and Central Asian states too. Given the crucial importance of this historical project for the country of Pakistan, plenty of controversies have been laid down against the ongoing economic activity.
