There isn’t any person who is unknown to the value of Sadqa or charity. Also, as the month of Ramadan doubles your blessings, it doubles that value of your good deeds too. Just like you understand this, so does the business tycoon Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, and he decided to act upon it.
Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, one of the leading Pakistani philanthropists, hosted another successful fundraising iftar dinner on the 02nd of June 2018 at his own residence for The Indus Hospital. The event was attended by many renowned personalities from media and business sector.
Followed by iftar and congregrational Maghrib prayers, the session initiated with a speech of the CEO of The Indus Hospital, Dr. Abdul Bari, in which he briefed the guests about further plans and projects the hospital is determined to work on in order to reach better heights. Also, he continued by promising that the funds would be used in the hospital for various purposes that would include expanding the infrastructure, along with adding more beds for the patients.
The Indus Hospital is no forgettable name when it comes to charity hospitals whose main purpose is to work for the welfare of the people residing in Karachi and all over Pakistan. This private hospital has been offering the best health services free-of-cost to all the people who need it.
Aqeel Karim Dhedhi invited all the prominent members of The Indus Hospital team. Ahmed Chinoy, the former chief of CPLC and Arif Habib, the Chairman of Arif Habib Group were also present at the event. With the main concern to raise funds for the hospital, AKD also invited renowned media personalities like the actor Behroze Sabzwari, and a well-known journalist Iqrar ul Hasan.
The business community along with the other guests not only gave significant speeches about the importance of donations in accordance with their perspective but also participated in raising funds and successfully raised PKR 21 crores in an hour.
