Pakistan Earns Back Its Tourism Charm by Getting Acknowledgement on Social Media

Due to the horrific interruption of terrorism a few years ago, Pakistan almost completely lost its tourism industry. The security issues in the northern region made Pakistan, a nontravel-able place for the international as well as the local tourist. But now the tables have been turned again, this time, in the favor of Pakistan.

Besides the international hype for the breathtaking beauty of Pakistan, domestic tourism especially has increased amazingly in the past five years. According to the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), a calculated estimate shows that almost 80 million tourists traveled to Pakistan. The numbers are increasing with every passing day since 2013. Thanks to the dominating influence of social media in the country. Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and many other social media applications have become so powerful, that no business venture can flourish without being indulged in it. So much so, that even Business Tycoon like Aqeel Karim Dedhi is now switching its investment invitations on social media.

There Is More to Pakistan than the Northern Areas

Pakistan has always been famous for its daunting and mesmerizing mountain ranges in the North. But as the less known tourist sites of the south such as Hingol National Park in Balochistan and Gorakh hills in Sindh are getting too famous over social media, more and more people are getting to know it.

The Business Perspective

The situation becomes ten times more positive when being looked at with the perspective of business. Social media has taken over every other medium of marketing. Nowadays, there are numerous traveling agencies which are running over on the sole bases of a facebook page. One can find many small tourist ventures which offer budget-friendly tours towards places which were not known in the previous years. It is amazingly cost-effective. It cost as little as 10 dollars to reach 5000 to 7000 people within the reach. Also, online business in Pakistan has gotten a great boast because of the efficient methods to reach the targeted market.

Before social media was mainstream, it took amazing effort to find a reliable traveling agent or a tourist agency but now one click and you are set to travel within your budget.

The Improved Situation of Infrastructure

The improvement on many of the connecting highways all over the country has proved to be another reason for the revival of tourism in Pakistan. These improved roads and highways include some very important one such as Makran Coastal Highway and the Karakoram Highway.

The Power of a Nicely Taken Picture!

Believe it or not but the Power of visual content has never been more powerful in previous times than it is now, A nicely taken picture of the enticing sea of Gawadar or incredible mountains of Gorakh can drive such a great amount of both – National and internal travelers.  The social sharing of a good traveling experience encourages other people to do the same.
